Have enjoyed the chrismas carol service that is held every year just before Christmas on a Saturday night. This is lead by the people that either read or sing something that they think is aproiate .

This fine example of architecture is open to the public during the summer months on Thursdays and Saturdays 12-4pm. The building is beautiful and when I entered a very friendly woman gave me a brief history lesson which was very interesting. This is an example...More

The Unitarian Meeting House dates from 1699 and is a Grade I listed building. As one of the finest remaining meeting houses in the land it is well worth a visit. Some of its land and graves were lost in a road widening scheme. Other...More

What a stunning building. Had the pleasure of seeing our friends get married here and must say it was a lovely experience. From the outside you would never guess how traditional the interior is - well worth a look!

We visited today, the building is an architectural gem on the outside, but once within those doors you are transformed back to the 1700's when the building was built. It has original pulpit, and carvings, and the atmosphere is amazing. High backed pews and a...More

In the heart of a busy town is this little oasis of tranquility and history. This building dates back to the days when people sought to find their own ways of worshiping God. Both architechturally and historically a treasured gem of this town.

This building is an insight into early freedom (or lack of) of religious activity, complete with watch windows and multiple exits to "escape" quickly. Because it's history is so fascinating, it's really best to go when they are running their short guided tours; but you'll...More

We were walking past and were invited in, I am glad we accepted as the interior retains much of the past we were given a guided tour, with a complete history of the building. One particular item that stands out being the wig pegs in...More

This Unitarian church dates from 1700 and has most of the original dark wood interior... lots of small pews. There is still the original peep-hole in the door where a member of the congregation would always look-out for the kings men! Worth visiting.
