Lovely place to walk around. Good places to eat too. We go to the coffee shop at the top for light meals, but Isaac's otherwise.

Whether you're looking for an intimate dinner for two or a night out with your mates, the waterfront has somewhere for you. There are numerous eating and drinking places along the quay. Once a week there used to be a market, not sure if it's still going but well worth a look if it is.

So many restaurants, pubs and area for entertainment throughout the year. We went to the motor cycle event, bands at isaacs, sat admiring the venue as we reminisced with my mum and dad who worked there when it was Ipswich docks...happy memories and current pleasures from this area

I'm a local, and while I do like to walk around the waterfront now and then, all of the local shops, cafes and restaurants are very expensive and simply not accessible for the majority of the Ipswich working class. (Of which are the majority of Ipswich.) Tourists may find it interesting to see the contrast of the high class street... More

Probably this is the best place to be in ipswich if the sun is out.You can go a walk around the docks and thr memory just remains in your heart. There are a few good places for grabbing a coffee and a cake.

Ipswich waterfront is amazing and would compete with well established waterfront business any where. All the businesses are keen to have your business and can be fully booked so book ahead to avoid disappointment

Visited this area as part of my evening stroll after a long day. I enjoyed the cobbled stone streets, the paintings and photos displayed on the hoardings (some works happening). It was quiet and uncrowded. Passed a few people cycling, walking or like me simply strolling. I didn't visit any of the eateries but saw quite a few were full... More
