Constantly being dug up, altered and generally chaotic. The market is unattractive and poorly sited, often blocking access to other premises. A visit to Ipswich is only by necessity and not choice.

The old town hall is an amazing Victorian building that is well worth a walk around and quick visit inside. there is a café inside with a good selection of food.

The old town hall (1878), normally open for wedding bookings in the large upstairs hall, and now the lower floor is a cafe/tea room, to the rear is the Corn Exchange.
