We spent the whole afternoon in this park. The Children's play area is fab with plenty to keep them busy. The park itself is huge and we spent ages walking around the grounds. There is plenty to get the kids into nature with trees to climb, paths to follow and a lake to look at.

Sunday was a lovely day and I was passing near Ipswich so I joined a friend to walk his dogs in Chantry Park. Never been here before and what an absolute delight, such lovely grounds and you wouldn't think you were so close the Ipswich, will definately be back later in the year and will bring a picnic, perfect place.

Chantry Park is on our side of town and we often use it for exercising the dogs. There is plenty of open space for them to run freely and, whilst the childrens' play area can sometimes be busy, we can soon leave that behind and find acres of room for them to enjoy themselves without interfering with anybody. There is... More

The building in the photo is the home of the Sue Ryder charity but close by is a lake with uneven pathways but worthwhile. In other parts of the park there could be opportunities to watch football and cricket at the appropriate time of the year.

There is one thing no one can deny about Ipswich, we have amazing parks. Chantry park being one of them. The kids play area is good and the park is huge. I also love the mansion right by the hadleigh road entrance. Top park!

One of the first places that welcomes you to Ipswich as you exit the A12 from London, Chantry Park is a little gem of joy in town. With six entrances (Two car accessible and four walk through only), Chantry Park provides both man and beast a lovely setting for outdoor activities. 1. Parkland - 124 acres of both mowed and... I take my family over here and it is very large and open for walks with the dog. Only thing is park runners on a Saturday morning running you over.
