Overview
More
Naturally beautiful, with its golden sand, Sandbanks Beach has been designated by the European Commission as one of the few areas in the United Kingdom which has achieved the highest standard of cleanliness. Sandbanks has held the highly coveted international Blue Flag for the past 30 years and offers a designed area for barbeques and swimmers. New slacklining posts have been installed. Equipment is available to hire from the beach office. Activities at Sandbanks include crazy golf, a children's play area and the Sandbanks Beach Cafe. The number 50 Wilts and Dorset bus from Bournemouth Station to Swanage stops near to the beach (generally every half hour in the summer). There is a car park next to the beach that holds 550 cars, 5 for disabled use.

We spent a day walking along the clean sandy beaches to the Bankes Arms in Studland. Enjoyed it so much we did it again the next day a little further to Old Harry Rocks and back. Lovely!

Extremely confused as to why this area is of such renown, to be honest. Virtually no parking, over-priced everything, nothing to see, and nothing to do unless staring at hideous example of architectural monstrosities behind locked gates is your thing. The sooner the entire place...More

Always has been and always will be one of the finest beaches in the South of England. Golden sands, no sharp deepness in the sea, just a gentle shallow.

To be honest - it’s a great beach for the UK, the best I’ve been so far. However, having grown in Cyprus and Greece this beach becomes belittled compared to the Greek beaches. The sand it great but the sea itself average. It’s ok for...More

Great beach, with clean water and clean litter free sand. Parking is a nightmare if you’re not there by 9am on busy days. Highly recommended 👍👍

Fantastic beach, view, location. Love it. Took dog so stuck to sandbanks west. Warm water as it is so shallow, easy access to cafe and Tesco, parking - if lucky - right next to beach. Loads of paddles, boards, etc to hire.’what more could you...More

We have taken the opportunity with the beautiful weather this BH to go to the beach. Parking isn’t cheap but for the luxury of amenities we figured worth it today. Got here at 9 and already crazy busy...which we totally understand. What we cannot understand...More

What an outstanding beach. The beach itself is clean, miles long with all the amenities along the front. The sea was calm, clear & see through and the kids could paddle without a worry. Along the beach front there’s a cafe, ice cream shop, toilets,...More
