A large natural harbour with plenty of history dating back pre-Roman times. Poole is a must visit location, with the famous harbour at it's centre. There are many islands to visit, most notably Brownsea Island and a number of water sports to take part in....More

Staying in Poole for a few days and we enjoyed a wander around this area today. Despite it being a cold, autumn day, it was lovely to walk around the harbour. Such a pity that Poole Pottery is no longer open.

Well worth a visit, particularly if you are into watersports. It's fun place to be out on a board or in a dingy. Close proximity to Sandbanks too. Depending when you arrive, parking can be a challenge!

We are attracted here by poole pottery (unfortunately due to close down on 15 October 17😢) we are desperately hoping new premises will be found for them, as this brings us to the area. You also have titan leathercraft for leather lovers, cruises to swanage,...More
