Poole quay

Beautiful views across the harbour and across to brown sea island. The quay has lots of restaurants and a few shops. Perfect for a evening stroll.

A beautiful bay, backed by the Purbecks and including several islands, the most notable being Brownsea [accessible by ferry]. The harbour is best approached down Sandbanks Road or Haven Road. The car parking along Sandbanks Road is chargeable, as are the two car parks. However there is some limited free parking still on nearby side streets. [The harbour isn't at... More

Picking out a few of the best bits that I've visited. Poole Quay. Arne bird sanctuary. Sandbanks. Brown's each island. Hamworthy beach. All worth a visit. All good days out. Expect to pay for your parking but otherwise a good day out can be had for very little with the opportunity to exhaust the kids for a good night's sleep.

Second biggest natural harbour in the world and worth the visit for its natural beauty. Shallow water areas ideal for water wind sports. To be fair, we live just down the road!

The visit to Poole Bay never ceases to amaze us. The views along the Isle of Purbeck out to Old Harry's Rocks and all the little and large islands are just spectacular. You get fantastic views from the small ferry boats around the Harbour calling in at Brownsea Island is an equall spectacular location, especially when you see all the... More

With good weather this is a great plce for a walk taking in the views of boats shops and scenery especially as you can see the expensive Sunseeker boats at the factory opposite (How the other half live)a nice to do for a couple of hours.

Poole has Europe's largest working harbour with a bustling quay and miles and miles of golden sand. There are many restaurants around the marina and cosy quayside pubs enabling one to enjoy the view whilst eating and drinking. Poole pottery on the quay sells gifts with price ranging from as little as £5 for eau de toilette to £100 and... More

Never fails to delight. Love it here whatever the weather. Plenty of places to eat/drink or just stroll along. Have family in the area so will be returning soon.

Poole is a lovely place. Nice having a stroll along the quayside and watching the boats. The old part of Poole is very quaint. Worth a visit in the summer.
