such a commanding building in the centre of town, it looks a lot better now that the scaffolding is finally down after the recent work on it, well worth a look around inside

I visit Rotherham minster every Christmas to see the nativity display. It is a very beautiful church. Please note it does close between 1-2pm at the moment. Definitely worth a visit, just wish I could have stayed longer

Despite having worked in Rotherham this was my first visit - a beautiful, historic jewel in the town centre. A very knowledgeable verger explained the roof is original medieval, cleaned up 10 years ago, with gold bosses- stunning. Parts of the church date back to Saxon times, most of the windows are Victorian. Coffee / teas served most mornings 10-12,... More

Rotherham has some really historic buildings if you know where to look and this is the best of the lot. In recent years the Council have improved a lot of the area around the church so it is now much more visible than in the past. Superb architecture both inside and out, churchyard also has benches in which are great... More

Rotherham Minster is a jewel in the town - it has some fascinating ancient features, including the organ and the font, plus beautiful new ones. It is a very welcoming church, with the church ladies serving teas, coffees and biscuits most mornings.

Wandered in here one afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. This place is beautiful. Huge stained glass windows, either stay a while, or re-visit later the same day, as the changing light in the church is amazing as the sunlight hits the different Windows. The ceiling is very ornate too and as long as there are Nino services on, they're happy... More

History galore in this huge beautiful church said to be of the medieval perpendicular architecture style. It's origins are in the 13th century and many parts of the interior are from the 1400s. Very pointed and tall spires can be seen from miles. It sits on a high area of town, with a wonderful view all around. I was fascinated... More

This a lovely church inside with lots of history to it. You feel very calm while looking around. There is tea and coffee and biscuits available Monday to Friday mornings 10am to 12noon with the money going to help fund the church. Some times they hold events in the church like Dickensian craft markets.
