Small village with a couple of pubs, shops and a bistro. Pleasant walks near the church and picturesque houses. Went sunny day and enjoyed it immensely. Recommend reading it's history before a visit.

Beautiful village with nice places to eat and drink, ( the George and dragon is my favourite). With lots of lovely walks in the area you can walk a great meal off In no time. Also a fantastic garden centre to visit with lots of plants and gifts as well as a great cafe, children's play area and animals for... More

Worth doing some research before you go as the old estate is peppered with follies. You can walk up fairly close to the house but not in it. There's a farden centre and occasional markets. This is very busy almost every day of the week, but there are other artisans in the village. Two pubs in the village atleast 1... More

Have a walk along the street and have a look at all the old cottages, visit the ruined church, and have a cups in the Village tea rooms. Read about history of the village and Wentworth Woodhouse in the book Black Diamonds.

A beautiful village with a relaxing atmosphere. Plenty of little tea & coffee stops interspersed with village pubs that serve wholesome food. Plenty of secluded walks and lots to see and do like garden centre, antiques shops and a stately home. Pets are welcome too.

Wentworth is as beautiful and interesting as many cotswold villages but less known. The magnificant Wentworth Woodhouse and grounds should be on any history lovers list of must do's. The village is interesting and you can spend a few hours wandering the street, visiting the many interesting shops and wonderful garden centre. Have lunch in either of the 2 country... More

Been a regular visitor for 50 plus years! Always enjoyed the atmosphere - a little quaint. Two good pubs. Lots to do - interesting small shops, two churches (one now a semi-ruin but preserved - the other a magnificent 19th century building with super acoustics for concerts, etc.). Interesting walks. Wentworth Woodhouse stately home. Monuments. Big garden centre. Visit recommended.
