We paid a visit to Talkin Tarn, with our daughter, her husband and the grand children.

There is a shore in places, but there are a lot of wild birds on the tarn so I’d suggest taking the kids to the special hide on the far side to get close to the birds. There’s a cafe too. Have a lovely day out!
