The station is still under wraps, with renovation work continuing, but a sign on the boards declares that they are on schedule, so hopefully not too long before they reopen.

This is now closed due to a fire last year. Last time we visited it really was not as good as on previous visits. Food and service was poor. Hope when it reopens, work is in progress it will be much improved.

Don't make a trip for this site! It is under wraps while they rebuild. Ballater is a nice place to stay for day trips all around the Scottish highlands.

Station being rebuilt as it burnt down. Not sure when it will be complete or look like. Wait and see I guess.

Visited the old railway station which had several shops including restaurant. Sadly damaged in fire but almost completed the renovation due at end of 2017.
