I go to Dunham Massey at least once a week with my dogs. Beautiful setting and you can walk right round the deer park with dogs on a lead. The deer let you get quite close so some great photo opportunities. The old water mill is wonderful to have a quick walk round and it's great to see how it... More

We went for the day with my Mum and Dad and my young daughter. We had a great day out, the staff told us about the different things that there were to do and have clear directions to get to where we wanted to go. The new visitor centre and cafe at the entrance are lovely. We went to walk... More

National Trust property with gorgeous gardens, impressive house with friendly, knowledgeable volunteers interpreting the history and occupants, both upstairs and below. Amazing lunch with generous portions, local ingredients and recipes.

A frustrating visit all round. The lack of information in the rooms meant that it took us until half way round to finally figure out the key stages in the "story" of this house. The introductory film left us none the wiser and the 'Great Expectations / Miss Havisham' inspired display boards were too abstract to get a clear idea... More

After failing to find any sheltered parking area in Tatton Park we discovered Dunham Massey. here a very kind gentleman on the entrance pointed us in the the right direction where we could easily park. There was plenty of other areas around the car park as well We enjoyed some cracking refreshments in the cafe near the entrance where we... More

We were in Manchester for the day so an unplanned visit. Unfortunately the house is closed on Thursdays and Fridays, which was a shame. That said, we had a nice walk around the gardens which were well maintained but we were told the winter garden had finished flowering but would be worth a summer visit. Would be a nice place... We were staying in Little Bollington for a couple of nights and Dunham Massey was a short walk away. The hall was closed on the Friday but we had a lovely walk round the deer park and returned to the hall and gardens the following day. They are worth visiting. Because we are National Trust members the parking was free.... More

What a shame Dunham Massey Hall hasn't returned to an ordinary house after the hospital exhibition. The latest 'Lost Years' exhibition is so very boring. Everything about it is grey, from the colour of the advertising to the content. There is nothing to see except storyboards, no costumes or room settings. We went with friends and all of us completely... More

I love coming here, it's so peaceful and such an experience being able to walk amongst the deer. I visited with my girlfriend over the bank holiday weekend and she absolutely loved it! It's so relaxing sitting by the lakes and walking around the grounds. A great place for photography as well, as you can tell by my photos! We... More
