The harbour has been dredged and the bridge repaired and reopened to the Harbour arm. This buzzes on a nice day with eating and drinking places and people promenading. Often live music and places to sit and dream. There is a path across the beach...More

Visited in November and it was still showing signs of life with the cafes etc - even a fresh bakery on the Harbour Arm! The new work has been very effective with the town looking a lot better than it did a few years ago,...More

Though successive governments did their best to destroy the nation's fishing, this area has survived with much of its original character. Worth visiting for the atmosphere, excellent pubs like The Ship, and good food ranging from Rock Salt to traditional seafood.

Such beautiful scenery. Perfect for all ages. Can work out expensive if you want food and drinks but everywhere is lovely regardless.

An interesting harbour as the railway infrastructure is still there even tho no used. Lots of small boats and fairly picturesque. Overlooked by probably the worst looking hotel in Britain.
