An historic and beautiful building in lovely grounds. Delightful cafe with huge sandwiches. Good gift shop. House itself small and with great connections to USA. Guided tours no longer available, but helpful and informative attendants. Village also worth a wander around

Visited here on a trip to Banbury and glad we did. The ancestral home of Washington family and set on the lovely village location outside of Banbury. Beautiful building full of history and only a modest admission charge.

Had an opportunity to visit this wonderful place as we were attending a wedding here. The grounds are amazing and well maintained. The actual manor house is not on a big scale as some other manor houses but the history behind it makes it special....More

Firstly, George Washington never lived here but his ancestors did. One of them got very rich by marrying a rich widow and then when she died he married another one. Not as bad idea. This is a very nice clean and fresh attraction that is...More

Arrived in time to join a group being shown around. Our guide (Linda) was excellent and told us a lot about the Washington family history. Not many rooms to look around but the garden was very pleasant and full of colour. A nice touch was...More
