These gardens are beautiful whatever time of the year you visit. In autumn there are vivid dahlias and chrysanthemums, sedum, Aeolians and a wide range of foliage. The urns and planters, chairs and benches add to the ambiance and it is lovely to reach the back garden through the house. The kitchen garden always has something of interest. The front... More

Sorry but this wasn't for me at all. Tiny place, two dark miserable looking rooms of a house and a garden with a small fountain. In and out in fifteen minutes! We only visited as we were in the area looking at some other, larger properties so no big loss, but did wonder where all these glowing reviews have come... More

National Trust small house (two rooms) and gardens. Very neat and well organised, with lovely swing seat to view the scenery. Lovely tea room in the stables, and very small shop.

Beautiful gardens, fairly small but well worth a visit. Lovely borders and lily pond with seating to view it. Very peaceful. Lovely kitchen garden and small areas to explore plus a walk through the trees and a more formal garden to the main door. Basic catering of tea, coffee, cream teas and cakes. Plus cold drinks.

Main attraction is the gardens of course, although there are also a couple of rooms in the house to see. The gardens are typically formal with some good planting - although this time of year (October) many are past their best. The fruit and veg patch was very good and was my favourite. Vist took a lot less time than... More

Smallish garden, but a real gem of a place! Been a couple of times to relax and appreciate the beautiful flowers

Really lovely gardens, split into rooms and a charming little tea room available as well. House is a holiday let so you only see two rooms downstairs but you're really there for the Gardens.

I've just spent a lovely couple of hours on a sunny September afternoon in these pretty & tranquil gardens. They weren't pretentious. I felt very peaceful wandering around & enjoying the plants/bees/birds etc. The woodland walk was added fairly recently I believe. I found a wonderful spot to relax for an hour. It was on the swing bench seat. The... More

I love Tintinhull. It has a magical atmosphere and never disappoints. On this occasion we were limited for time, so ate our picnic lunch and then just wandered around the lovely grounds. The kitchen garden looked superb, with well tended veg and cutting flowers. Plenty of seating to enjoy the peace and quiet. The orchard is worth visiting too. There... More

We went on to Tintinhull after the slight disappointment of Lytes Cary. Our expectations had been well managed this time, as we knew this was really just the garden of a modest sized house. Despite being early Autumn, we walked into a sunbathed walled garden which still had masses of beautiful flowers, covered by bees and butterflies. The large vegetable... More
