We visited the art gallery especially for the lego exhibition. My 4 year old son loves lego so we thought it would a great day for him. I didn't realise you had to pay especially for this excitibtion. Two adults 1 child and £10 later we made our way round. There's a total of 3 halls each with near enough... More

We made a special trip for the LEGO exhibition from Stratford where we were staying. It was ok but we expected to see more actual models and also bigger ones. To be honest we spent more time looking round the rest of the gallery. In my opinion not enough to hold the interest of the younger children.

The Art Gallery is in a wonderful building just 5 minutes walk from the train station and we enjoyed the fine collection of paintings plus the pop art and some lovely sculptures plus the cafe is very good but unfortunately the daily special was sold out but the food we had was very good. The self guide map was not... More

It`s great to walk up the steps to this imposing building and being centrally located it can completely change a drab day. A good mix of ancient and modern with plenty of local interest and connection with the industrial heritage of the area. This industrial heritage has virtually gone but for some of us the memories remain. Just an idea... More

The gallery is situated in Lichfield Street in the heart of the town. At the time of my visit in February, there was an exhibition of the work of pop artist Roy Lichtenstein in two large rooms, which was very good indeed. There was an exhibition of his work at the Tate Modern a couple of years ago, but this... More
