This is a poor place with very little to see and what there is isn't worth looking at. I found only one decent picture. One room had a display entitled Boring Pictures - and they are boring. There were several staff on duty and one...More

Opened in May 1884. Wondered in here as I was in the area, please to see the Bagpuss & Clangers exhibition going on, in the room to the right hand side as you go in. The wire hangers face art is still at art gallery,...More

Visited with my 8 and 7 year old children . It's a relatively small gallery but there's enough to see for an hour or so. Despite being too young to remember Bagpuss , The Clangers etc. the children enjoyed the temporary puppet exhibition. The gallery...More

One of the best galleries I have visited - free, something for everybody and interesting and varied exhibits. I particularly liked the juxtaposition of old masters and modern works and the Boring Photographs exhibit. Really uplifting.

We went today especially to see the exhibition of Children's puppets etc. I cannot fault this as was excellent and very nostalgic and if I was rating this alone it would be 5* however the rest of the experience was beyond poor. We arrived and...More

A first visit to Wolverhampton Art Gallery to see the Clangers, Bagpuss & Co.exhibition. It was very nostalgic to see the TV characters that I grew up with up close. A very good exhibition, and best of all, its free!

Hi there The gallery is free. They sometimes have a special area of art or an exhibit where there may be a small fee. Entrance to most or often all is free. Birmingham also has a fabulous art gallery which is also free.
