The House is relatively small but is really well maintained and interesting. The staff make children very welcome and my 8 year old loved playing with the vintage games in the nursery. We both enjoyed dressing up in the period costumes and doing some colouring in. The gardens were well laid out and the grounds were lovely. We enjoyed the children's... More

The house is not that big, but you can get into the mood of the period. Beautiful gardens, nice cafe and amazing antique shop.

The house contains the museum which is very informative, there is a children's room and also an antique shop which has some lovely items in. There are the tea rooms. There are also... More

A wonderful few hours. Anyone interested in History, will love this little Gem. A real insight to years gone by. Followed by a visit to the onsite restaurant. Educational for the youngsters, and facinating for older visitors. Wonderful for those rainy days! Bantock house is kept beautifully, so although its a free visit, please help keep it open, by providing... More

Some of the house was closed off due to special events... More
