The other week I had a spare hour when visiting Warrington and decided to take a look at the Museum, for the first time in 30 years. A lot of what I saw was the same as it was 30 years ago however, a lot had changed, with the section dedicated to the industrial history of the town both informative... More

It may have been established in Victorian times, but Warrington Museum and Art gallery hasn't stayed in the past. There is an excellent basic collection, great items of local history and an interesting art collection. There are frequent changes of exhibitions and a regular programme of activities for children. It has great links with the library in the same building... More

Wee have been to the museum a Faye few times and have always found it interesting. Each time we go there's something different to look at. The crafty morning are lovely for the children to take part in as well.

This museum was big surprise for me from my boyfriend. I can see great potential for education as a history teacher. You can find here every single part of educational subjects. This place is realy good for families whit children, school trips, or for history fans as I am.

We went to break up a long journey but spent all afternoon there, fascinated by the wide range of exhibits. The free craft activity was great fun. My young son also tried on Roman armour, an egyptologist's hat, plus wore pharaoh robes. The art gallery was accessible and offered jigsaws to entertain non-arty visitors. There was a range of games... More

Great place to go and get lost in time, there's something there for every taste. It's so deceiving, it doesn't look that big from the outside but be prepared to be amazed.

What an unexpected surprise. Took my 3yr old daughter during half term and we both had a great time. She absolutely loved it and the staff member we were chatting too was very good.
