Starting from Milford-on-Sea, this is a two-mile walk alongthe coast, ending at Hurst Castle, an ancient monument open year 'round, with a cafe. A ferry runs from the village of Keyhaven from Easter through summer months.

If you are careful you can park car near to boat yard on public road free. Glad to see they appear to have improved signage and some paths. The entrance if you come by the boat yard,(private area but public foot path) ,has been much improved. Please look at signage as you go around as you can walk a variety... More

I usually join it by the Salterns rowing club and follow the old sea wall to keyhaven and back along a slightly circular walk. can see some lovely birds, sunrises, watch the IOW ferry crossing. The dogs love going in the water when the tide is in and also at the... More

One of the best walks ever. You can get on it any where from bournemouth to Lymington. Lots of great restaurants and lots of great bars , but above all that view, it's to die for. It's flat mainly but with a bit of up and down. Love it and love it more.

This is a stunning walk from the lovely town of Lymington. We saw so many birds we cannot list them all, unfortunately a Kingfisher saw us before we saw him (or her) as all we saw was the electric blue of its back flying into the distance. We saw teals, avocets, shelducks, sanderlings, geese and many more great birds. The... More

We hadn't heard of this walk until we saw it in the hotel room. Lovely walk from Lymington Quay out to the marshes

There are many trails you can take, which will give you a short or longer walk. You can see many different kinds of birds in the Keyhaven Nature Reserve. You can even view the Isle of Wight from the path. There are signs along the way that point out places of interest, such as the salt marshes.

The walk was about 5 miles - It is great with loads of birds to see as well as the coastal views - good underfoot and a pub at the end - there is a shorter walk back inland - Really good

Lovely walk whether you walk for half hour or a couple of hours. Beautiful scenery. Different types of birds. A must thing to do when visiting Lymington.

I would have liked to walk the whole of The Solent Walk but I have an arthritic knee and this was not possible but for the short walk I did it was beautiful. We were lucky because the day was sunny and bright and the views and activities on The Solent were a delight!
