We spent a very pleasant afternoon wandering the many aspects of the gardens admiring the sculptures, random pieces of classical architecture and the snowdrops and winter aconites. It's not as splendid as Anglesey Abbey, but still very lovely. And very popular, so be ready to have a walk from your car, and remember to wear wellies for one last Snowdrop... More

A delightful garden with many vistas leading to statues and works of art. Wander the grounds and admire the gardens, there is a fort that was built for the children and can still be invaded. the house is different to the standard house and is interesting to visit. hot drinks are available.

Its amazing what a green place Harlow is - I am sure it's not what moist people thing about when they think of Harlow but there are some great green spaces and this is one of them, full of atmosphere and interesting to see the sculptures. Great cafe too. Think more could be made of it as it is an... More

Catch it while you can before a huge housing estate is built around the garden. Great little café, interesting sculpture and pleasant garden walks. A true oasis and something Harlow should be proud of.

My boyfriend and I went to the garden on the last day of the season before closure. It was on a nice autumnal day, lots of leaves were brown and yellow, it was so beautiful! The entrance is not free but it is very correct. We really enjoyed walking there. It's not that big but to go out few hours... More

'Hidden Gem' is the best description of the Gibberd Garden. We have lived in Harlow almost 40 years and never found the time or inclination to visit the Garden. But then we saw the signpost for the Autumn Colours open day and decided to take a chance. We weren't disappointed! A cheery welcome from the ladies on the ticket desk,... More

I have visited the gardens several times over the years but this was my partners first visit. We started off in the tearooms for homemade soup (delicious!) and drinks. We found that for what we had it was very reasonably priced. We then spent around 2 hours exploring the gardens. Several sculptures had been added since my last visit so... More

This is one truely tremendous place to visit in. The gardens are superb with such a range of sculptures. The tea room is also fantastic with delicious cake and really nice ladies. We are so lucky to have inherited this gem from sir Gibberd. I love it, my friends love it, you'll love.

We hired the garden for a private family function one afternoon. The team there were extremely pleasant and helpful, both in the run up to the event and whilst there itself. They provided an afternoon tea with a range of cakes, sandwiches and fruit scones - all of which were delicious and plentiful. As well as having sole use of... More
