Interesting and varied, combines local history and nature. Can walk or cycle. Never too far from the town to visit for refreshments.

These woods are close to the hotel and make for an easy walk, good bird watching.Even when it is snowing hard it is magical to walk there.

Beautiful woodland walks with lots of interesting trees and wildlife to find.there are walks of different lengths are some are harder than others, but there is a map to help you decide which one.

Very disappointed at the start of this walk due to the amount of dog mess! Typical other dog owners spoiling it for us who pick up. The walk itself is ok with lots of options. Dogs had a blast on the trails (this was outside nesting times).

My trip could have been at least a year longer to be able to fully appreciate these woods. They are beautiful and majestic is all seasons.

Enjoyed a beautiful autumn walk today with the sun splintering through the trees. Very beautiful and atmospheric. Clearly marked, well maintained routes with seats at viewpoints.

There are so many walks and you can have a guided walk from the Grant Arms Hotel. The paths are very good and the woodlands are lovely to walk through. Excellent place for walking your dog.

As mentioned in the information and noted by other reviewers, these woods date back to the ancient Caledonian forest. Trails are coded and offer different lengths/durations. We walked right down to the river Spey. Very enjoyable experience with out 2 dogs, safely on leashes and bagging up any waste! Plenty of parking, but most walk from Grantown on spey centre.... More
