We were interested in visiting while we were walking around the village and as the museum had an exhibition on it seemed a good idea. Never saw anything as the dog was not allowed in, as she is not an assistance dog. So, no dog,...More

We're sorry you were unable to visit the museum with your dog. However, this is not an unusual policy. We have a legal obligation to admit assistance dogs but do not admit pet dogs. We do have a dog bowl outside and you might have...More

A lovely small, free museum. Gives you a bit of history of the town, and the early inhabitants. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgable.

Many thanks for your positive review. This is the sort of things our volunteers appreciate. However, I must point out that there is an entry fee of £4 per adult, although children under 16 do not pay.

We were greeted by friendly hosts who introduced us to the museum. Essentially a few rooms with display about the history of the town. We were also able to view a temporary exhibit of paintings which was nice. Inexpensive and only takes an hour
