The quayside is a fantastic place that holds many attractions. Myself and my boyfriend have been going for years. Great place to visit if in Newcastle!

This is wonderful to walk over, even better since they removed the bollards that used to be in the river. Time your visit if possible to see it opening. A great tribute to Gateshead council to mark the millennium, as iconic as the Tyne bridge, and the High Level.

But it's an interesting bridge with amazing views up and down the Tyne. It has a bounce to it, so not for the faint hearted. Also worth checking when it's due to raise, and try to time your visit with an opening.

... disappointed with the signage for available parking, only wanted to visit the bridge to take photos, but lane markings and parking signs were very confusing for a new person to the area. Unfortunately, didn't stop in Gateshead to take I the bridge to its full. So only a brief look!

Great design, pleasing on the eye and fantastic to watch move. A good link from Gateshead to Newcastle if your on a bicycle or on foot. It is also a good viewing platform for Newcastles other bridges and views of the architecture surrounding the quayside.

lovely ingenious and an architectural marvel. Set amongst the hustle and bustle of Newcastle it enjoys a prime location and is spectacular at night time when the locals come out top play! Well worth the visit to see a mini-marvel.

A great crossing place from the Newcastle quayside to the Sage Gateshead concert hall. Beautiful at night when it's colourful with changing colours.

Used it to cross from our hotel to use the riverside pubs and restraunts on the banks of the Tyne it was dark enough to experience the bridge lit up. Nice little romantic walk.

Try to time it to see when it opens for vessels to go through, it is a sight worth seeing. Then stroll across to the SAGE on the Gateshead side. A lovely experience
