I LOVED this place. The Tour is fantastic, so much history and i love when you get to see SO much of a house on the tour. Make time to visit this Castle/house to hear all about the history, both upstairs and downstairs.

The castle showed the lifestyle of the lords and ladies in the 1800s. But it also showed the life conditions of their servants - so you got to see both sides of the population. very knowledgeable and entertaining guides.

Yes there's a solid path the whole way round the lake it will be no problem with a push chair. Certain areas of the forest walk towards the old icehouse may be more difficult but should still be ok.
