Visited this property on numerous occasions, we met for lunch here specifically to see the spring boarders. They didn't disappoint, the scent was heavenly and the bulbs were in their prime. We have walked up to the church in the past and you could buy a hot drink in the church and we sat on a bench in the churchyard... More

It's always good to revisit wonderful houses like this one, so full of history and beautiful things. We visited on a rather chilly but bright Saturday and although we didn't see very much of the grounds, it was interesting to see the new parterre. As usual, the room stewards are a mine of information and we enjoyed a hot drink... More

Took my 11 year old on a whim and was pleased I did. The weather was really hot and we ate a picnic lunch in the orchard. The gardens are amazingly well cared for and the house is immaculately maintained. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the history of the house. Well worth a visit.

Visited this National Trust site as we were in the area for a weekend away with the children and well-behaved dog. The welcome at the ticket office was lovely and the staff were very friendly - they told us where the dog was allowed which included the outdoor eating area and substantial property grounds. We were a little confused however... More

An hour from home and a lovely drive on mostly quiet roads. Easy to find just off a main road. Plenty of parking a short walk to the hall. Only a few rooms to see on ground floor. Gardens very pretty with tulips in bloom. Tea room outside in marquee well stocked with cake etc. A small indoor tearoom, shop... More

A fantastic place to visit, especially if you can explore the beautiful gardens and surrounding land. The guides are very well informed and added a special touch by being so open to chatting. As in many properties you have some guides that will be quiet and others that start a conversation as soon as you enter a room, which I... More

Exceptional grounds and always lots to explore. Great that the hall is frequently updated too so for returning visitors there's always something new. Only gripe is that the new car park is rather tight.

A little off the beaten track but all the more stunning when you arrive. A very well preserved house, of which there is a limited number remaining. First to arrive so felt rather like a private visit! Went on the house tour which was very well done and a fascinating insight to the history of the family. The restored Dutch... More
