We visited Chesil Bank on the way back from Portland Bill, on an amazingly warm & sunny day, the last on the south coast before heading to The Cotswolds. Yes, there are quite a few well rounded pebbles as far as the eye can see,...More

It seem impossible to have so many stones. You have to see it to believe it. The views from different parts of the beach are outstanding. When you're seen it all go on a windy day and see what the sea can do. Unbelievable.

Beautiful part of the country, we first visited last week 4/5 September 2017. As in most things we can't have it both ways and Portland is not well geared for the tourist, you often struggle to park your car as decent car parks are few...More

There are many places to visit Chesil Beach and I personally prefer the Portland end. The pebbles can be very difficult to walk on and tend to settle in steep terraces. If you go nearly to the end of the beach you can sit outside...More

There is a number of places you can park. There is one by a small cafe just on Portland also there is parking by the exhibition center not long after the bridge.
