A very tranquil place, it lovely all year round. I prefer the Autumn as I love walking in the leaves fallen from the trees. The views across to Portland and over the harbour are stunning. Summer time again a good place for a stroll

Great day at Nothe Fort, grandchildren enjoyed searching for the hidden mice, good cafe for lunch, great views of Weymouth bay.

This is an interesting place if you like cannons and forts. They have made a real effort to make it as interesting as possible, but make sure you go when the local bus is still running otherwise it's a long walk back if you haven't got a car.

Family Sunday afternoon outing (2 adults, 2 boys 11 and 8). Much much more to see and do than expected. We were there for a couple of hours and didn't manage to complete the tunnel exhibits. Amazing views across to Weymouth bay and across to Portland. Didn't try the cafe, so can't comment on catering. Day ticket can be upgraded... More

Great day out - 2 adults and 8 youngsters 10 to 12 year olds. The weather was great and lots to see both in the fort and out at sea!! The children loved the mouse hunt and were disappointed we did not have enough time to finish it all. We spent 2.5 hours including a picnic lunch and watching the... More

Took our girls here for a few hours out. Wrapped up warm and explored the outside areas before heading inside, ending with lunch in the cafe. Reasonable pricings and we appreciated the military discount. A good day out for all the family!

My wife and I visited the Nothe Fort whilst on a weekend break in Weymouth and we found it both interesting and good value for money. Some of the mannequins are old and badly in need of refurbishment, but the information and scenes they portray are worthwhile. You will probably find a lot out about the Fort and its uses... More

This is a well preserved excellent historic site. It is a fascinating piece of history in beautiful surroundings and the staff deserve all the credit. The fort looks amazing and you get a real feel of the events that occurred there many years ago, when you walk through the tunnels and hallways you can sense the emotion and the heroics... More

Last time we visited it was closed when web said open. Our son was very disappointed. Just been back to Weymouth. Web said closed so went to Portland castle (great) only to find the fort was open.

We visited on a lovely sunny mild Sunday in October. So views from the top were fantastic. Really lovely welcoming staff (all volunteers I think) and a nice cafe. Lots to see and do . Some of the mannequins are in dire need of replacement, but guess funding is needed. Loos are clean and modern. We had a nice time... More
