These cruises are a really pretty way to explore Windermere & the little towns. Boats are very comfy in all weather & have awesome Windermere warmers (hot chocolate with baillies or rum) for sale which I highly recommend 😊the skippers are friendly & knowledgeable about the area with hot tips for you if you have a little chat along the... Well worth a cruise on Windermere Lake, with a well informed team who provide the history and interesting facts of the Lake and its lakeside scenery/ buildings. Make sure you take warm clothing, even in summer, as it can still be chilly when sitting on the open decked seating areas but it's the best way to see Windermere Lake.

We were a group of 10, with 2 dogs and a disabled passenger. When we arrived, although the timetable had said the boat would have disabled access, the lady told us that due to the winter timetable, it was a different boat without disabled access inside. However, she then went to find out which boat was doing the trip at... More

Many thanks for your wonderful review and five star rating. Just to clarify a very important point- the timetable both in Summer & Winter strongly advises wheelchair users to call us to confirm which vessel is operating which service- this is especially relevant in Winter season when it is a launch only service, which arent wheelchair accessible. However we're delighted... More

We took the Red cruise to Ambleside, just over £20 for two adults which was a very good price. The journey was smooth but very cold as we were on the top deck. it take 3o minutes each way. The staff feed you interesting historical events from the past 150 years which passes the time with sightseeing too. There is... More

Thank you for your lovely review. We're so pleased you enjoyed the cruise- we had a dusting of snow on the fell tops over the weekend but unfortunately the rain washed it away! Thank you for recommending us- we hope to welcome you again one day. More

We took the yellow cruise to lakeside to visit the aquarium. The boat was clean and the views were stunning. Takes about 40 mins to lakeside. Nice and relaxing with facts about buildings along the way.

We took the boat from Cragwood to Ambleside and then down to Bowness. Although the weather was lovely it was still very chilly in December. A great way to get a different perspective on the scenery, well worth doing and good value. Thaink it was £18 for two of us.

We were passing and a boat was in, so we decided to go along. At just over £20 for a family of four, we didn't think it was too bad. The cruise took about 45 minutes (blue cruise) and did a good portion of the lake with tour guide giving you information of things we passed. I think 45 minutes... More

We received free tickets for the Windermere lake cruise, and we took early advantage of using them to visit Ambleside whilst staying in Bowness. Lovely views of Windermere on a bright clear day. Ideal for walkers who wish to explore different villages and the surrounding countryside. Wrap up warm!
