We always enjoy a visit to Poplar Tree, the plants are mostly out of doors so conditioned to the climate, they are well potted and good for planting on. Everything is laid out well making it easy to find what you want, and perhaps more importantly, what you might want next. There's the usual crafty / random present type stuff... More

My mother, husband, daughter and I had a Gardener's Delight Afternoon tea today. The presentation was excellent with the tea being served on a mini wooden picnic bench. It was also nice to be given a choice of a pot of tea or a pot of coffee or an alternative drink (usually you are only offered a cup of coffee).... More

I go here quite often and buy plants and meet friends. Staff are always helpful and well informed I have found when buying plants or needing help with suggestions of the best types of plants to suit your particular garden. There is a great range of garden equipment and furniture. A good coffee shop which can get quite busy.

Whilst I was pleasantly suprised by the range of items on offer - I was a bit shocked at the price of everything - no matter what I looked at - it was all more expensive than I thought it would be or even seen teh same items cheaper elsewhere - I didnt buy anything We came to look at... More

This is a lovely garden centre with a very good selection of plants which are well displayed and a reasonable price. The indoor plant section has just been extended without losing too much outside plant space. There is a large hard landscaping area too with statues and choices of paving stones/pebbles etc. Inside there is a large indoor area with... More

Lovely afternoon tea, needed it after shopping - buying much more than plants. The whole Garden Centre is well worth a visit.

I visited the coffee shop today with my friend for lunch, (we've done this every few months for years now). The experience was excellent: prompt friendly service, Food delicious, served hot with fresh salad garnish, clean+tidy, all in all very worth while. My only negative observation would be the scones, very dark brown almost burnt, so didn't have one. Will... More

Always a good cup of coffee here but scones and cakes are rather expensive. The garden centre stocks all sorts of items and is pleasant to walk round, although goods are still rather on the expensive side. Don't visit here on a regular basis.
