Loads of wide open spaces for walks, horse riding, surfers, BBQ's and will never feel crowded. Great views of the Bass rock, Dunbar, Belhaven and across to Fife. Great for any time of the year.

We have been coming to Dunbar since childhood camping days and now as a parent we still love coming here. The town itself holds many great memories but Belhaven Beach is the "must visit" when you come here. Car parking is plentiful (unlike North Berwick)...More

Beautiful clean sandy beach, amazing water sports.View spectacular. Public car park,public toilets grassy areas for picnics.

Parked in the nearby car park (£2 for the day) and used the free public toilets which are nearby. Walked down to the beach edge and got an ice cream from the van. Over the little bridge (tide was out) and onto an unspoilt lovely...More

Beautiful beach and walk. Can access john muir walk through woods. Need to be aware of tide coming in as can get cut off. Pleasant for kids and dogs. Good facilities at john muir park

We stayed at Bel Haven chalet which was beautiful and directly on the beach which was equally as beautiful. My only gripe was everyone that visited the beach didnt use the front as a turning pint and pay to park on the car park but...More

It is possible to picnic on this beach, but it is better for walking, surfing, windsurfing and other sports. It usually has fantastic surf and you can book lessons with the local surf school. Perfect for long walks- dogs love it. Park at John Muir...More
