Drove up here and had a very interesting chat with a local gentleman who could tell us a lot about the history of the area. There are lots of benches with commemorative plaques on them and a large area for picnics and barbecues. View overlooked the lighthouse and we watched the lifeboat coming in from training. A beautiful spot.

Lovely relic of past times, well maintained by locals who are always happy to chat and great sources of local info about other attractions and places to eat. The obscura is just off the lovely, scenic coastal walk to Port Soderick.

Limited opening, but well worth a visit if its open and the weather is sunny! The light is allowed in through openings in the roof which reflect the views from outside to be reflected onto white surfaces in the darkened room within! a full 360 degree picture of the views outside is exposed as you walk around the room! Aparently... More

Like a few attractions on the island, this 'attraction' is hardly open at all. I never got the chance to visit this. Come on people, open the thing!

This is a renovated attraction overlooking Douglas, I used to go 60 years ago and it was like stepping back in time when I visited. When you consider it is all done with mirrors the images you view outdo modern technology

If your around Douglas this is well worth a visit. Its on Douglas head by Manx Radio and can be seen from the promenade. If your on foot its quite a walk up lots of steps but the view and the attraction make it well worth it.

Only open on a limited basis so check so as not to be disappointed. Run by volunteers who are very informative - great fun
