In a spectacular pterosaur shaped building watching over Sandown’s blue flag beach is Britain’s first purpose built dinosaur museum. Walk back through fossilised time to the period of the dinosaurs where you will find amongst the fossils many interactive displays. On a recreated landscape enhanced by sights, smells and sounds you will meet life sized dinosaurs including our animatronic Neovenator. Guided fossil hunts (which must be pre-booked) have proved to be a popular addition to a visit.

Good factual place if you love dinosaurs and the history behind them. Lots of activities to to do for the younger children.. Could do with being bigger with more to see but overall good.

We have now taken the grandchildren here 5 or 6 times. All of them (boys and girls) love this place and spend ages wandering around. The play room upstairs is fab as they can dress up as dinosaurs which they love. Also tables with colouring...More

My kids love Dinosaurs and loved this place. The activity’s sheets kept them busy and kept my 5 year old daughter interested. Would recommend to anyone on the Island.

It took my family and I ten minutes to walk around this attraction. Needs some working on to make Dinosaur Isle more interesting. Wouldn't visit again.

Had been here on several previous visits to the Island but a good way to pass a wet, windy afternoon and not expensive. So much information and fascinating regarding the Jurassic Coast itself. We were a party of 5 adults but small children would be...More

A great venue to fill a couple of hours and probably longer with older children who have the ability to stop and read all the information! We visited with 4 adults, a 5, 3 and 1 year old so the kids weren't keen to stop...More

There were no dogs inside during our time there. Sorry I don't know whether or not dogs would be welcome. A phone call to the museum will answer your question.
