After the Walkers Chocolate Emporium was raved in my guide book, we travelled all the way from Westward Ho! and were only presented with a let down. The cafe at the back was shut and the promise of the opportunity of seeing chocolate being made was not fulfilled. The chocolate was rather overpriced for the products sold so we left... More

If your like me and LOVE quality chocolate this is the place for you ! All handmade local chocolate, sweets, truffles, holiday gifts and keepsakes. Fantastic value for the outstanding quality. The staff are always incredibly helpful and welcoming. The shop has a small museum to the rear showcasing all the history of chocolate which is fascinating to see and... More

I have to visit here every time I go to Ilfracombe. The chocolate is just amazing! You pay a little more than you would in a normal shop but its worth it for the taste and texture. All hand made and all brilliant quality. Just wish there was a place like this closer to home.

Emporium.....this word suggests something amazing, in reality it is a shop selling chocolate in many forms (sheep poo, thanks for looking after....etc) with a small tea room attached which consisted of four tables with four chairs around each. The information was provided by reading the many articles on the walls and a small tv the size of a small tablet... More

This place is so bad in a good sense of the word. A chocolate lovers paradise. Choc-full (excuse the pun) of hand-made goodies. If you are a lover of all things chocolate this is the place to go if you are in Ilfracombe. I found myself get more and more carried away with the things for sale. I am afraid... More

We was wanting a cup of tea when we found this cafe in the back of a chocolate shop run by a lovely husband and wife team. We had a pot of tea in the museum of chocolate in the rear of the shop. The tea was served up in chocolate advertising mugs for two and a small complimentary bowl... More

Lovely little shop! A breath of fresh air on what was otherwise a run down/disappointing high street. The guy serving was friendly & welcoming. Sells lots of personalised & handmade chocolates perfect for gifts to take home as thank you tokens. Miles better than the pre packed stuff, & well worth a look.

Revisited the shop and there is still a fabulous selection of chocolates to see and buy. If you a present with a unique and personal twist I would recommend a visit.

I've never been in a chocolate shop like it - aswell as all the lovely chocolate (much of it seaside themed - mini crabs, mini seashorses etc) there is a whole area dedicated to the display of chocolate paraphernalia. The shop makes it's own chocolate and you can watch this being done through a window into the kitchen area. Really... More
