Tenby Museum is the oldest independent Museum in Wales.Founded in 1878, Tenby Museum and Art Gallery is situated in part of the medieval castle, overlooking Castle Beach and Caldey Island. Permanent displays include archaeology, geology, the natural, maritime and social history of the town and South Pembrokeshire.The permanent collection included art works by – Augustus John, Nina Hamnett, Edward J. Head, David Jones, John Piper, Kyffin Williams and many others.In the Second Gallery – A programme of frequently changing exhibitions. Enjoyed the range of exhibits and the art work on display. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the visit to the gallery led to some wonderful views of Tenby and surrounding coastline

what a fantastic little museum. only £5 to get in and your ticket is valid for 1year. Children are free!! I didn't think we would be long there, however my daughter was give an activity work booklet! I found it really interesting to! We completed...More

A bit of everything, disabled friendly, sheets for the kids to fill in, age specific. Excellent art by augtus John. Not to be missed. Shows the history of tenby in an easy to read and follow layout. On a wet or dry day worth popping...More

A lot better than we were expecting. It contains some great artefacts and we learnt a lot. Great activities for little ones too. Great value for money and highly recommended.

Nice little museum, very interesting and worth a look in with the kids as they have activities for them to complete and artifacts and displays aimed at children.

We recently visited with the kids on a wet and windy afternoon. The staff were very friendly and helpful, just as our friends had told us when they went with thier 3 kids last August. There are some interesting exhibits and nice works of Art....More

During our holiday at Pendine, we visited Tenby for a day. The sun was shining, the beach looked golden and the sea was a lovely blue colour. There were lots of shops to look round and your everyday grocery stores. Plenty of places to sit...More

Climbed up the friggin path only to find they were closed on Monday. Why isn't that notified at the bottom of the climb? Stupid.
