The Macrobert Arts Centre is a superb little place that is starting to become a regular destination after discovering the absolute joy of their National Theatre: Live Broadcasts. It is an absolutely amazing opportunity to be able to see phenomenal theatre that would otherwise cost a fortune to go to London to watch. I wish they had them on every... More

Great venue for families to visit as ticket prices are almost half the price of the other local Cinemas. Sweets/snacks are usual overpriced like other places but you could always pop into the Nisa next door. Only downside is you may need to wait a couple of weeks to see new releases and avoid the place Mon-Fri 9-5 as parking... More

This is a great venue to for cinema and theatre with the cinema tickets being about half the price of competitors! There isn't as much choice of movies at a given time but its easy enough to check online ahead of your visit to see what is on and when. The seats are comfortable and there is a fully-licensed bar... We come here several times a year. We often dine in the restaurant which we enjoy as it offers good food and a nice view over the university grounds. The filmhouse has comfy seats (we find the seats in the main stage too small with little leg room) and the price is so much better than the Vue. The cafe... More

Over the years we have been here to see a wide variety of shows. The shows are well priced and there is a huge variety. It also has a cheap cinema. There is always something on or coming up at the MacRobert.

Lovely well lit entrance hall, very welcoming staff and the whole place was very clean. Theatre itself had comfy seats and all seats had great views. Show was excellent

Seen a few things here now. Great arts Venue with a cinema and theatre discs for performances. Interesting shows and nice contemporary arty space. Modern theatre with good acoustics and decent sized audience. Located in the leafy university campus grounds this venue is outwits striking city centre but has parking space and bud links. If going in a group and... More

My boyfriend stays local to the area and he suggested we go to the cinema here instead of the main one in the town centre. Lots of parking and I couldnt believe how cheap it was to see films that you had missed in the cinema. We went to see Boxtrolls, 3 of us, and it was half the price... More

Went to see a very popular show which was a sell out and decided to get some drinks before we went in. Only one person behind the bar and at least 30 people in the queue. Just ridiculous. Would put me off going even if it was something I wanted to see as this is not a one off I... More

Visited again recently before a film showing, and while the food was good, it wasn't quite up to the same level of service and high food standards as previously. Soup - while plentiful and very tasty - was over salted, breaking that golden rule... You can always add more salt as a customer, you can never remove what's been put... More
