Delamere forest is a really nice place for a walk with different routes to take. The reason for rating only 4 out of 5 is the expensive parking charges, especially when you can end up just parking on a grass field.

While staying at the nearby caravan park we went for a walk in the forest and took my litter picking equipment with me, within an hour I had completely filled the bag and had not collected any of the bagged dog poo strewn about all over the place (why do people go to the trouble of picking it up and... Lovely walks well managed without losing it's charm Can get busy with some inconsiderate dog owners. Only well trained dogs should be let off the lead

This is a fabulous place for walking, absolutely beautiful. We visited yesterday and found that, unlike most places we walk with our dog, the trails here were, in the main, not muddy, which was a huge bonus for us. However, we found the parking charges by the visitors' centre extortionate. How can £2 per hour, £4 for 3 hours and... More

The Gruffalo trail kept the little one happy! The scenery is amazing. A wonderful place to unwind and share some quality family time.

Vast forest with footpaths and cycle paths everywhere. Easy walks and coffee shop for all adventurers. Parking is all around the forest and free or there is a fee paying car park.

Fantastic place for a long walk. There is a small old fashioned cafe with welcoming staff near car park (visited twice - once fro lunch and again for ice-cream before home). Great to take dog too

Went on a Sunday afternoon for a lovely walk with our dog. Really enjoyed it. Only downside was the lack of sign posts telling you which way to go. They're is also a cafe and lots of benches if you wanted to take a picnic. Will be returning
