This beach is my go to when I want to watch the waves. Usually some surfers here, this is the best wave beach around and maybe my favourite, although it's a tough choice.

Long haul to drive from Montreal but there's a little town at the end of he rainbow and it was beautiful. Not much to eat as restaurants go in the area or groceries so pack food for sure. But Dartmouth is not too far and has everything you would need. Surf was a lot more consistent than we expected, always... More

Lawrencetown beach is a must see for anyone visiting the east coast. I was lucky and often see it on a good day but it can be foggy. Nice sand and is perfect day out for any family. Surfing lessons are also available.

I love visiting this beach any time of the year. It is spectacular when there is a lot of surf, and fun to watch the surfers ride the waves. There is a large parking area and public toilets. Also there is a good restaurant and board rental place nearby.

Easy to park. Sandy beach and big waves, some surfers. Interesting rocks at low tide. A good place to take pictures.

Coming down the hill we could barely see the shore but once we got over the bluff the crashing waves were just what we wanted to see! A surf lesson for my son and some beach time for my daughter worked out well although they both got beat up a bit by the surf and rocks. Water is cold but... More
