The cathedral is average in size, but has a very beautiful design in its ceiling. I was never able to atttend the mass, but you can check the schedules posted in front near the main doors.

I attended Mass here. The Cathedral is historic with a great frontage to the plaza. I agree that the nave is not the most decorated or impressive in Philippines. Pleasing to see so many at Mass. i hope they commence a sensitive restoration.

The Catherdal has a square opposite so good for photos. There is not so much to see inside the ceiling is painted with biblical themes but not the most impressive. The walls show signs of serious deterioration from water, there are no windows here.

Very nice church fronting a plaza. Maasin city is a very clean and tourist friendly place. All public vehicle drivers are honest, I salute them. Church is well.maintained and looks grandeur and grand. This church is also near resto and govt offices, like a typical...More

Great Cathedral with beautiful Mass no charge to visit but donations welcome. It was a great stop on our visit to Southern Leyte.

I attended the mass at 4.00am, Sunday and Christmas mass. They had a beamer which gave the churchgoers an information about the Eucharistic congress and the visit of Pope Francis on January 15, 2015 in Tacloban. I love this church and sat on the front....More

Beautiful Cathedral in Maasin city. Nice artwork inside on the ceiling and really nice facade. Worth popping in to have a look.

There isn't much going on in Maasin but we were passing through and I wanted to see the Cathedral. Its pretty but there wasn't much going on when we were there and there isn't much for a tourist other than Jolibee across the street. Not...More
