Super quick trip you can make when you are in Locarno. Just take the funiculare all the way up. You'll right away see where the church is. I recommend taking a coffe at the restaurant that oversees the church and then you can walk down...More

This Church is simply beautiful, both inside and out! First of all, its location with sweeping views over Lake Maggiore makes it simply exceptional. When you step inside, you really feel like you are stepping back in time. The paintings on the ceilings are beautiful....More

Certainly interesting church to visit, if you are in the surroundings. Lovely location and nice to access with cablecar. But building itself, less spectacular than I had expected.

This is the beautiful church where my grandmother did a pilgrimage when she was a young woman. The church is beautiful in a beautiful setting. There are alot of steps so if you have a physical handicap, might be difficult for you.

The setting is beautiful. We went up by the funicular and were surprised how many steps down were involved. The walk down afterwards was on a long winding and steep path with sheer drop off side.

Access of this church/cathedral is via a funicular up a steep gradient up the hill. At the top of the trip is a small village with a cafe serving gelato food and coffee. Further along is the entrance to the gondola further up the hill...More

Amazing views of the church with the lakes below. The walk down towards the church has many steps but the views are breathtaking. The church inside is amazing - a must see!

At first glance this church is like many others in Europe. But, on the back wall check out the paintings that tell the stories of people who have had their prayers or tragedies answered. The paintings are very intriguing because each one represents a true...More

We took the little cable car up the mountain to visit this beautiful old Church. Nice view from there over the lake.
