Chateau du Taillan is situated at 11km from Bordeaux, on the medoc road. Its history dates back to the middle-age and it is one of the oldest winery in Medoc area. Its vaulted cellars dating from the XVIth century are unique in Bordeaux. You will discover the Chateau from the XVIIIth century as well as the pink marble alterpiece if you go for a walk in the beautiful park. Discover an authentic setting, a family history and ask for the legend of "La Dame Blanche"! Tasting visit : visit of the cellar followed by the tasting of wines : 6€/pers Gourmet visit : visit of the cellar followed by the tasting of 3 wines around a cheese and meat platter. What a beautiful winery as well as friendly. Easy to access via city bus (however at the bus stop someone switched the direction signs, so don't believe everything you read) flavourful wine (we bought two) but the yards are to die for - think Downton...More
