Great place to go with friends or as a couple. Relax on the beach during the day, go snorkeling/scuba diving/long boarding or go for a cycle around the island. Check out the amazing sunset on the far side of the island in the evening and hit the bars in the village at night to party for hours

We found a boat from Lombok and in 20 minutes arrived to a place for diving. Joyful atmosphere, young people, good food on the beach...

A short inexpensive trip from the mainland, about 45 mins in a covered launch open air. Clean unspoilt beaches and numerous wareungs to take a coconut or light lunch. Snorkelling is pretty average with the inshore reef obviously dying due to intertidal pollution, still safe and easy snorkelling for the amateur....easy to travel around on bikes, motorcycle or rental car.... I had a wonderful time in Gili Trawangan. There is great nightlife, some awesome bars and music with cheap drinks. You are really spoilt for choice with food. I am vegetarian and found many places that had amazing vego food. There are great snorkel spots all around the island with plenty of pretty fish, turtles and coral to enjoy. Bike... More

My family spent 3 weeks on Gili T. Plan was to do a lot of nothing. We succeeded. We stayed in the north of the island to be away from the night life allowing us to choose how late we stayed out and not be troubled by party noise when we went home. Snorkelling was enjoyable and easy to spot... More

My first time to Lombok and heard that Gili Trawangan is a must visit. We rent speedboat to reach the island for about 10-15 mins. Stayed in Vila Ombak that has their own jetty for the boat then walk 2 mins to the hotel. Beach has white sands, great view, many tourists rent bike to ride along the way occupied... More

It was a lovely place and cozy warm island to relax on after dives attraction visitings in Bali. And it is just less than 1 hour of boat ride. The water was so clean and there are so many dive centers here. I just went snorkeling so i can spend more time with my parents who are non divers. Loved... More

Gili Trewangan is my happy place! I had such limited time but had to go here as its amazing..stayed less than 24 hours but so worth it!! Stayed in Le Petit Gili which is literally 1 minutes walk from the harbour and food night market. It can be noisy at night as you are just on the main strip and... More
