Around 40min drive off the highway by the gravel road, Wadi Al Abbeieen is a lovely spot to visit for a well-spent half day swimming and picnic/bbq adventure suitable even for families with kids. Be advised that 4x4 car is required to reach it. Enjoy!

Wadi Al Arbeieen is fantastic! Well worth the trip from Muscat. It is off the road to Sur (easy to find from the Muscat Expressway, but NOT well signposted from other roads in Muscat - so it may take you longer than the apps say!)....More

We ventured out to the wadi on our own in a 4X4 vehicle and were a little concerned when we saw the road end 16km before the wadi started. It remains one of the best decisions we took when we continued on the uncharted dirt...More

After a few days on the beach it was nice to walk in the ravine and sit with feet in the Wadi having your toes nibbled by the fish.

Wadi al Arbeieen, simply amazing, the landscape is speechless, a green oasi surronded by sandy montains where the water is unbelievable blu. Definitely a location to see once in a life time.

Yes you can. If you know how to drive in manual mode. Only one place will crucial while coming back. If you have any company with 4W car and pulling belt, it’s better. When I went, I saw a Toyota Corolla.

sorry for the late reply. to my knowledge it is best that you rent a 4X4 and use google maps to get there. tour operators just want a quick buck and are unwilling to take just a few people to this location.
