We ventured out of Dingle under beautiful skies to loop the scenic Slea Head Drive. The outing was surreal with other worldly views & plenty of pull off niches for photo opportunities along the peninsula. An experience to remember & repeat.

We drove the Dingle Peninsula in an afternoon. It is spectacularly beautiful. In my opinion, it is a far better use of time than driving the Ring of Kerry. The town of Dingle is charming and has many restaurants and tours to choose from. There...More

Do not miss the drive to Slea Head and around the Dingle Peninsula. The views are some of the best in the world. Of course nice weather makes all the difference. Dingletown is really pretty. I think the dingle is better than the better known...More

What a drive! It takes a couple of hours without stopping. Of course there are plenty of great places to stop off for photos or simply to take in the breathtaking views. Make sure you go round clockwise as the odd rogue car going anti...More

We drove around the Slea Head Drive anti-clockwise, which was against the direction of the buses, but were lucky that we were able to pass them on the narrow winding road. Our friends were not so lucky and had to reverse back and could not...More

This was one of the most beautiful stops that we made. Breathtaking views. A must see stop on your trip.

This is a beautiful drive, full of spectacular scenery and interesting places to stop. There are historical sites along the way, as well as places to eat. Plenty of parking beside the road for photos.

This is every bit as good as the Ring of Kerry. In fact we preferred it as it was less crowded and far fewer coaches. Scenery is stunning

Like the ring of kerry but smaller. Whereas the ring takes 4 to 6 hours this one takes two. With a bunch of beehive huts and iron age settlements literally next to the road. probably my favorite rive in ireland

There are plenty of pull offs to get some great picks and walk around a bit. Just give yourself time to enjoy it and do not rush through. Dingle the town is great to walk around and explore.

It is basically a big loop leaving from and returning to Dingle. You need to give yourself a minimum of 4-5 hours to do it justice.

We drove the Slea Head Drive out of Dingle last October. No issues. Plenty of places to pull over and park and take in the wonderful views.
