Lots and lots of Fish…. You will love it… Went on the Northern route.. I.e. the one exiting from Nagrota - Jammu route after you cross the bridge.. On a road less traveled… enjoyed the journey, more than the destination. Carry flour with you to offer it to the sacred fish in the lake.. Go closer and they take it... More

Be it in terms of cleaniness, or beautification or the sereness or the natural beauty, its just simply out of the world. Though there is no entry fee, but they charge 50 INR as parking fee. we went to J&K Govt tourism near ragunath bazar in jammu but they guided us to private travellers just inside the premises of that complex itself . they organise well and it is the only way to visit mansar lake. so we booked a cab swift desire with ac for both mansarlake visit and jammu sight seeing also. we bargained... This place is approx. 4 hour journey from jammu. Once you reach there you would love the place ... The fishes are in lakhs in the lake ... You can do a boating ..... Take some time to taste the local food across the lake ... It is place you can spend a day but surely not more than day...... More

Mansar lake is situated on the way of dhar udhampur road. It is almost 35 km away from Udhampur and 50 km away from Jammu town. This beautiful lake is mainly famous for feeding the fishes. Mansar Lake is a famous picnic spot in j&k state and its around 40 km from Jammu. Ultimate destination. Very peaceful and beautiful. One should plan to stay here longer. Very good for couples and famalies. JKTDC provides accomodation near the lake and food also. Very good place.

Mansar lake is about 20km from Samba town of j&k state which falls midway almost between jammu and pathankot. It has beautiful scenic as well as spiritual attributes. You actually feel the solace of calmness and rediscover yourself. Must feed the dishes which almost come out to welcome you. Children shall enjoy the boat ride Which comes at a price.... More
