So amazing a place to visit..

This archeological park is amazing. Schedule some time for being there after dark to enjoy the lights on the temples. Wear comfortable shoes and carry water.

Best preserved temple in the park
Jun 2021
This is the best preserved temple in the park. It is beautiful in the morning or late afternoon sun; and if you can see it in the evening when the lights first come on, it is stunning.

Amazing
Jul 2021 • Family
It was really interesting and worth to visit, although the price of the ticket is too big. For me ir was really surprising that the temple wasn’t as big as i expected. I do not recommend to go there when it’s hot, we could barely walk , it was 38 degrees in celsium. But it is a magic place, if you read the history on the boards or read before you go ,it’s even better. Then you can turn on the imagination and dive into ancient times! Wonderful

The valley of the temples is best visited with a guide and at sunset to avoid the heat and too many people.

Tempio della Concordia, the most beautifully preserved temple in the Vally of the Temples.
Jul 2019
Concordia Temple, Agrigento's most famous temple, one of the world's most preserved Dorians temples. Except for the destroyed roof, the temple is almost completely intact, and its 34 dorians pillars are almost completely preserved. In the 6th century, the Bishop of Agrigento, made this temple a church after he expelled the pagans who were in it and it was this step that led to the preservation of the temple / church. The church was largely destroyed and partially restored in 1788. The most damaging issue about visiting the temple is that it can only be seen from the outside because its entrance is forbidden.
According to local tradition, couples who visit the temple on their wedding day will have a happy marriage.

The ruins are fantastic! The cafe awful.
May 2019
Avoid the cafe at the top, you'll thank me for the advice if you have to use it -dirty loos, plagues of wasps, overpriced, stale tourist food. The ruins themselves are spectacular and the crap cafe shouldn't put you off going! Wear stout shoes and take some water if the day is hot.
