I have never known Brunico as a cosmopolitan, hip place and had not been there for the longest time, but I was amazed by the beauty of the central avenue, all well kept and with outstanding shopping, all well blended with South Tirolean charm. If you traveling by car, park in the underground city garage and stroll around, you will... More

This year when skiing in Kronplatz the weather was very mild so much so that it actually rained one day. So fed up of skiing in the rain(sounds like a musical title) we got the local bus to the town of Brunico. It's a proper town with large breweries and other small manufacturing units, but the centre has a charming... More

This street was a huge surprise to me. It is hidden in between the historical buildings, but you must find it when you are in Brunico. It has great choice of excellent shops and restaurants. The buildings are beautiful and the street has a charm.

I come here many times and it is always enjoyable to stroll along the medieval streets looking at splendid palaces, fortified gates and really nice churches. The castle on top of the hill is a gem as well as the nearby war cemetery.

This is about a km long ancient street, with medieval tower, gates and building, castles over the near hill and mountains on the other side. It has several restaurants, wine bars and some local unique shops and boutique. It can be crowded in the summer and parking across the street not always easy to find.

Photos ops everywhere; charming location; clean fresh air; friendly citizens. Good shopping too! Be sure to pay attention to the pedestrian crossing lines on the road as there seems to be a tendency to just start crossing leaving very little time for the driver to see them and stop.

This is one of the most beautiful places in the world. An untouched yet modern place from medieval times. There are wonderful restaurants, stores, and yet the old culture and traditions are still truly maintained, and not just for tourists.

I was there on Easter Day, so the city was extremely quiet. The city centre (about 10 minutes away from the railway station) is worth visiting, as it is mainly pedestrian.

The castle museum was fascinating, the shopping outstanding, and the charm just about more than you can take. Nothing, however, is more breathtaking than the scenery. We love Brunico and will definitely return someday!

We have been few times now and it is good for shopping and for a drink in the patisserie and bars. We loved also the Xmas market where I had the best mulled wine I ever tasted. Love the grocery shop at the end of the main pedestrian street and the jeweller Gabrielli with her creations. Good parking underground. Go... More
