If you are travelling by car then the easiest parking is the multi-story underground car park between the railway station and the front of the palace. You need to be travelling West on the one-way street, the Viale Vittorio Veneto, map reference 41.070350, 14.329002. In...More

Great palace with impressive frescoes and decorations. The grounds attached to the palace are huge! We were going to rent a bicycle to get around the canal/fountains, but were advised to take the bus instead (2,50€ roundtrip) from the back of the palace to the...More

French-style royal palace. May be with some resemblance of Versailles (and yes, the royal family did want to built something like). Great interiors, very nice art collection (motsly of Italian classics). Garden itself worth visit; it's huge and nice, with a great water cascade. It...More

A huge Palace from outside but I don't think we had access to it all, just a few rooms with art exhibitions. The gardens must have been wonderful once but we were disappointed to find it all looking very sad and neglected as we walked...More

Palace is amazing and gardens are a unique gem: breathtaking! Absolutely a "not to lose place" even if organization could be improved and the palace must be preserved better!

Is it easy to buy a ticket at the Caserta train station? I'm thinking of just buying a one way ticket and then when we are ready buying our return ticket to Naples. Does that work?
