I have never added a review on trip advisor but I could not let this opportunity pass. My five star review shares everything in common with the reviews you may have already read. My trip was also one of the greatest experiences of my travel life. The views of the Italian landscape from my villa, the food we cooked and... More

I recently spent a week at Cucina Della Terra and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. Although I don't work full time in a kitchen anymore, I am an Institute of Culinary Education grad and have worked in the industry for 20 yrs. It was my first time in Italy and I was looking for something that would... More

The countryside was breath taking. Our daily tours brought us to new, exciting adventures each day. People were so welcoming, all meet our needs as we learned, listened and SHOPPED! Chefs Gerri and Jack are the most professional experienced teachers to take on the challenges we presented. The food, wine, accommodations and staff were great. I recommend this experience to all. I just returned from a cooking vacation at - Cucina della Terra (http://cucinadellaterra.com/) - the cooking school in the heart of Umbria Italy. Firstly, there is no more beautiful country-side then what you can find in Umbria, so right off the bat it’s scored a ten. I think it’s important to let you know, I signed up for this week... More

It is so much more than a cooking school! It was an all inclusive trip, everything was taken care of!! Sightseeing, transportation, lodgings, and nourishment were all provided. It was a well organized week; hats off to Chefs Gerri and Jack. Highly recommend the experience.

A visit to the Cucina della Terra is a visit to the culinary delights and culture of Umbria and Tuscany! Chefs Gerri and Jack expertly guided our preparation of incredibly delicious Italian dishes: home made pasta and ragu sauces, wood grilled meats, sauted fish, risotto, frittatas and roasts which we feasted on at a beautiful table along with wonderful wine.... Have been to Italy five times, but this experience was spent amongst the people of Umbria. The Cucina della Terra run by experienced Chefs Gerri and Jack was unique unto itself. We were driven by van to surrounding Umbrian/Tuscany towns and given a full tour throughout the day. Than picked up again and driven to the home of the chefs... More

This is a combination cooking school/ sightseeing vacation. The hosts are wonderful. They are extremely qualified chefs, interact comfortably with their quests and fully understand the local area. The food and wine are excellent and the interaction among the participants outstanding. It was a memorable and enjoyable vacation.

You will be very busy on this peak-experience-motivated vacation. The towns you visit are all memorable. The cooking lessons will improve your kitchen skills to a professional level. Jack and Gerri are very organized and have taken care of all the details. Food, wine, art, shopping. We are so glad that we did this. It is an amazing week.

Full disclosure: my husband and I are not tour group people who like to spend our vacation time engaging in small talk, and we typically don't stay put in one place too long while traveling. We are both avid cooks and spend a lot of time in the kitchen. He is very good with pasta, and I have been through... More
