The coastline is pretty, the waters are clear and the old town buildings provide a contrasting backdrop to the beach. But in summer, it's just overcrowded and too commercial (25 euros to hang out at the beach bar any one?). Not disappointed, but not convinced...More

Sunday did not right. Bus from Palermo to Cefalu were rerouted, making us wait for so long in the wrong bus stop. When we got to the station, we were told there were no buses, only trains. But the earliest departure would be past 2pm....More

Stayed for week in Old Town. Picture Postcard views. Went to beach by Quayside mornings and afternoons (to avoid midday sun). Can get busy, but no anti social behaviour so all relaxing. Great selection of food and drinks for all price ranges. Bit concerned about...More

On arriving with my family of 5 it seemed there was not much to do in Cefalu. In fact after wandering into the center there was a lot to see and do. The cathedral and other churches are amazing. The temple of Diana is worth...More

La Pirata food is fantastic, reasonably priced, friendly and most of all it has a balcony onto the sea. Sunset is lovely here. Fresh sardines, either as appetizer or with bucatini we’re amazing! My husband had veal with porcini that was vere very delicious.

When we were there at Easter there were a couple of people on the beach, in front of the old town, with dogs. The dogs played on the beach and ran in and out of the water.
