Took cab from hotel which was a 10 minute drive. Been to many archeological parks and this one was very interesting Roman bath complex but not in good shape. None the less the visit was well worth the time. It took and little more than an hour for the visit. Most historical markers have an English version too. The gardens... More

easy bus ride from civitaveccia bus station to the entrance. the driver mentioned that since it was already noon that the last returning bus would in one hour or so which seem to coincide with the 1;30 PM closing time. 1 hour is enough time for most people to get a good overview for the admission price of around 5... This is a really interesting place to visit and only a short bus ride from the train station in Civitaveccia. Some of the ruins date from the Etruscan era, so it's incredible to just be able to wander through the whole place without too much being roped off. As it's on a hill there are also lovely views of the... More

This is a thermal complex of ancient Greek and then Roman ruins dating to the 1st century BC, showing architecture from the Republican age and the age of the empire. This was a highlight of our trip. The ruins are very well preserved, and had water in the baths until it was diverted for agricultural use until the middle of... More

We caught a local bus out from the bus station in Civitavecchia. Our driver, Roberto, phoned ahead to ensure there would be someone to greet us as it was out of season. We were the only people there and took our time strolling around the Roman Baths ruins, reading the information boards and eating a picnic. It was so much... More

Very interesting place to visit if in Civitavecchia or its environs. Made to feel very welcome and provided with lots of relevant information. Fascinating site that actually operated as baths until the water course was diverted in recent years. A lot to walk round and through and get a real feel for the place. Also an interesting Italian garden, albeit... More

We have stopped in Civitavecchia on our cruise, but we have been to Rome before. Therefor we were looking for something else to do. Terme Taurine was our choice. It is so easy and cheap to get there on the local orange bus. Buy your return ticket at the kiosk and check with the bus driver when the next bus... More

We visited in August 2015 and to get there we took a local bus line b from the railway station in cittavechia. Be careful the bus only travels at certain times, we caught the bus at approx 10 30 and it took about 1/2 hr to reach Le Terme. The bus returns in an hours time so be mindful of... More
