What a beautiful and peaceful spot. The historic gardens are beautifully maintained; the fountains and statues well worth taking time to admire and the labyrinth fun for both adults and children to wander through. Don't miss seeing Rabbit Island. But most noteworthy was Diane's Doorway, which once served as the entrance for the elegant 17th century villa.

Came across this wonderful place while visiting a nearby vineyard. Really beautiful in early spring so will be stunning when everything is in full bloom. The maze is great fun and there is a small moated island inhabited by huge rabbits !! Will definitely return only next visit to this part of Italy.

The Venetian style mooring posts are still in place outside the river entrance to the Villa Barbarigo but the days are long gone when you could have arrived by boat. Instead the pedestrian entrance off to one side is like entering the garden via the back door! The garden is a mixture of formal and informal sections with a central... More

These gardens are indeed nice and quite impressive. Very relaxing to walk around, it gives an impression on how people used to live in those days. There is a maze as well and it is cool and actually quite difficult to get out off, so for anyone that likes a challenge ... I agree with other reviewers, that the price... More

Wonderful garden with a real Italian Style. The maze is a real one, which is not so common (you can even get lost if you do not pay attention :-) ). There are many nice things to see: the islands of rabbits, water games, swans, etc. Walking through the narrow paths is relaxing, especially in the summer time. The garden... More

We had a partial view of a section of these well kept and intriguing gardens from our Villa. Our visit to it lived up to all we had read and seen about it. Weekdays in the early morning and later afternoon/evening we found were the best for less crowds. Bring your camera, as the statues, fountains, ponds, rabbits, and plant... More

I was blown away by this beautiful place. The gardens were magical, you could truly believe you were a princess while wandering about in here. We took on the challenge of the maze which in parts was so tall, up to 2 and a half metres tall. There are gorgeous ponds, swans, hiding places, the gardens are absolutely beautifully maintained... We loved this garden. Not a lot of tourists and a great break from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. Try the labyrinth was a must. Not as easy as you would think!
